Romans 6:23a: For the wages of sin is death; . . .

The wages of sin must be paid and they have already been paid by Jesus for us who have received Him into our hearts and lives.

Romans 5:8: But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

My judgment and my condemnation have already fallen upon Jesus. The wages of my sin do not have to be paid twice. If you have received Him that is true of you also.

Romans 8:1: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For those of us who have received Jesus, there will be chastisement here on earth and rewards in Heaven. Our works and ONLY our works or lack thereof will be judged at the judgment seat of Christ.

Hebrews 12:6, 8: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Romans 14:10: But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

The above two passages are written to brothers and all believers. Their works will be judged whether they are good or bad at the judgment seat of Christ. No one who rejects Christ will appear at the judgment seat of Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15: For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man*s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man*s work of what sort it is. 14 If any man*s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man*s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The Great White Throne judgment is only for unbelievers, those who have rejected Christ. Their judgment will fall upon themselves. No believer will appear at that judgment.

Revelation 20:11-15: And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

The book of Philippians was written to believers. If you have received Jesus, your name is written in the book of life along with the believers at Philippi and everywhere else.

Philippians 1:1: Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

Philippians 4:3: And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
